Civil Engineering now offers the following Engineering and Surveying Technologies:

Land Development Desktop 2005 (LDD)

By utilizing Land Development Desktop (LDD), Civil Engineering Inc. (CEI), can interface and centralize data management, collaborate the designs with the client and our entire team, and quickly and accurately produce engineering drawings.

LDD increases CEI's speed for your project from initial design through final documentation. It takes only minutes to combine existing drawing files, raster imagery, point data, and GIS source data. In other words, CEI can take any media provided to us to input, incorporate, and join together, to obtain all the information needed for your project.

You don't have the digital drawing files? No problem, LDD allows CEI to take information from your existing prints and input them in the computer to create that digital drawing file.

You don't have any information pertaining to your project? No problem, LDD allows CEI to collaborate with our survey team and their equipment in a snap, to reduce the amount of time needed for surveying and drafting of the final project.

CEI can then use this information to build and analyze terrain models, design proposed parcel and alignment locations, complete the drafting, and move data back to the field for construction.

Global Positioning System (GPS)

The survey department at Civil Engineering now offers a high precision GPS survey system. This system can very accurately establish control on new or existing points. Unlike traditional optical survey equipment, this system requires no line of sight between survey points and is the ideal system for all control point needs.

Topcon Total Station Robotic GPT 8005A Survey Instrument with TDS Ranger Data Collector

Civil Engineering also offers a total station robotic, reflectorless one man survey system (GPT 8005A) which provides radioless, reflectorless distance measurements up to 400 FT. It is used in conjunction with our TDS Range Data Collection System which provides the flexibility of Microsoft® Windows CE® on a handheld collector.
